Twenty years ago, Churrascaria Prazeres da Carne brought the best gaucho barbecued meat to São Paulo, operating a “rodizio” system that was originally known as “Espeto Corrido”. Basically, what this means is that the servers will keep coming back to your table with more meat; a simple idea, but one which is really popular with customers. The gaucho tradition of barbecuing meat arrived in São Paulo in the early 1990s.
At Prazeres da Carne, we have a finely-tuned team of staff to look after the customers who occupy the 300 or so seats in our dining rooms. Our establishment is one of the top rodizio restaurants in the city and we serve high quality meat from various countries. The cuts we offer include picanha (rump cap), fraldinha (flank steak), beef rib, sirloin steak, pork rib, filet mignon, cupim (hump steak) and leg of lamb, among other options.
But apart from our meat dishes, we offer an excellent buffet consisting of a varied selection of salads, cheeses, seafood (oysters, shellfish, squid, octopus), a table where a sushi chef prepares sushi and sashimi, with cooked-to-order options, and a range of hot dishes, including salt cod, paella, prawns and more... For starters, choose from salt-cod cakes, pasties, grilled mozzarella, spicy linguiça sausage, and garlic bread, to name but a few. We also offer a wide range of side dishes to complement the meat, including fried polenta, banana fritters, chips, boiled rice, toasted manioc flour, onion fritters, “Tropeiro” beans, “Carreteiro”-style rice (made with dried meat), and rice with mushrooms.
